Getting Singaporeans to make sense of their spending habits

One of Singapore’s leading insurance companies, Manulife gave us the task of creating a lead generation campaign that would appeal to our target audience, and at the same time, help their Financial Advisers strengthen relationships with their clients. We took a practical yet engaging approach by creating a simple quiz that would assess their spending habits and calculate their cashflow.

INSIGHT

Our target audience aged 30 to 45 are at a stage in their lives where they want to grow and build up their wealth for the future. However, they are confronted with many important life decisions and financial commitments during this period, such as starting a family, repaying loans, planning for their kid’s education & enrichment, supporting their ageing parents, and many more.

IDEA

Create an engaging quiz that will push the target audience to think about their daily spending habits and find out how
everyday decisions and life-changing ones can affect their finances and annual cashflow.

Practical financial questions

Participants are given hypothetical situations and questions about their daily spending habits related to dining, transportation, shopping, travel, and more. These questions are also meant to remind our audience that every financial decision, whether big or small, has an impact on their finances.

After answering a series of questions, their total annual cashflow is calculated. With this result, participants can assess their spending habits and start planning their finances better or even seek the help of Financial Advisers. As a reward for those who fared well, those with higher cash flow results have a greater chance of winning the cash prize.
